Balance & UTS Tri Club - Triathlete of the year competition

POINTS SCORING

Balance & UTS Tri club run a points scoring system to encourage participation in a range of triathlon and tri related events, foster a vibrant club spirit and promote personal improvement through consistent training and involvement.

The male and female winners of the club championship will be awarded the Triathlete of the Year awards at our annual presentation night.

What races can I earn points for?

You can earn points for any triathlon, tri related event (this could include swim, ride or running races, adventure or x-terra races) or elite event (world championship or a similar level).  Twelve races have been selected from enticer triathlons to Ironman distance and they will be called Club Events.  Participation in Club Events will earn you extra points.

What do I need to do to get my points recorded?

Points will be automatically tallied for Club Events.

For any other event, you must email the ‘keeper of the points’ with details of the event, your time, category place and a photo (or link to a photo) if you were wearing club gear.

Who will be the ‘keeper of the points’?

Mark (Gooey) Brentnall - Contact: points@brentnall.com.au

What if I don’t have a Balance uniform?

As a number of members haven’t been able to purchase a uniform in recent times points will not be earned until the uniform becomes available again. In the meantime we encourage you to still get out there in your Balance gear if you have it.

How long does the point scoring system run for?

This year the point scoring system will run from the date of the Membership BBQ (15 August 2009) to 30 June 2010.  There after it will run from 1 July to 30 June each year.

Do I need to be a member of Balance?

Yes. As at the end of January all non-financial members will be purged from the point score and all points adjusted accordingly.

Who do I speak to if I have any questions?

Mark (Gooey) Brentnall

Any objections or disagreements with an individual’s point score are to be brought to the Balance Committee to be discussed.  The Club President will make the final decision regarding any disputes.
